I'm not sure about "good ones". I don't mind the Shida Rd ones which are right by you, if you're living near Guting. There are the "Out of India" and "Into India" restaurants. One is on Pucheng St (with another Indian restaurant on the opposite side of the street and a bit further along walking away from Shida Rd). Then "Out of India" is on Yun-He St near Toasteria. I don't know if that helps. Anyway, they are pretty inoffensive if you want to check them out. Some people love them. I think they're fine and I go to them quite often.

Otherwise the best Indian I've been to in Taipei was in Tien Mu (The Spice Shop) and was well worth the MRT ride up there (again convenient for you, on the same line and all!).

Check out her blog…it's a bit of an institution in Taipei. Look on the right hand column for "Indian" – she has about 17 reviews I think, if you're willing to travel a bit further in Taipei for a decent meal!
