EXPERIENCED CANADIAN (13 years) with A.P.R.C. Taiwan Residency

Hi, my name is Dave and I am from Canada. I have taught in Taiwan for over 13 years, plan on staying here much longer and currently looking for private students or school work in Taipei City. I have worked at Julia American School, Kindergarten and Bushiban, for more than 5 years, and another Bushiban for over 4 years. So, you can see if I find a job I enjoy, I always stay at it and do not change jobs much. I have taught kids and adults privately also over the years along with group classes. I specialise in General English Conversation mostly with my adult private students. I am currently employed a few hours at a local Bushiban, Chungwa Post Office (Head Office) and have private students, but looking for any other work also. I am now a Resident of Taiwan holding my APRC Resident Visa (so for schools, there is no need to apply for an ARC for me). I teach both students and adult privates in mornings, afternoons and evenings Monday-Friday when my schedule permits me to do so. For mornings, I only charge 600nt/hour. I do 1 on 1 tutoring but if you want to include a spouse / friends / co-worker(s) / group, I give a great discount for this. Also, I do think it would be much more enjoyable to all as I have found students are more free & less shy when doing classes with others they know, which is great when you’re paying less money also.

(1) Monday – Friday mornings
(2) Tuesday early-afternoon
(3) Monday – Thursday evenings

SCHOOLS: (no weekends)
(1) Monday – Friday mornings

These available times are for private teaching (1 on 1/1 on 2) or school jobs. For privates it would need to be either in the Taipei Station or the Hsimenting area where my home is.
